General Information

Q1: When and where is the Music City Freedom 5K?

A: The race will take place onJune 15, 2024 at Hadley Park. The starting line is at Pavilion, and the race begins promptly at 8am.

Q2: How can I register for the race?

A: You can register online by clicking 'Sign Up' button above. On-site registration will also be available on race day from 7:30am-7:55am.

Q3: What is the cost of registration?

A: The registration fees are as follows:

- Standard: $50

- Race Day: $60

Race Day Information

Q4: What time should I arrive on race day?

A: We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before the race start time to ensure you have enough time to park, pick up your race packet, and warm up.

Q5: Where can I pick up my race packet?

A: Race packet pickup will be available at the Hadley Park Pavilion on race day from 7:30-7:55am.

Q6: Is there parking available?

A: Yes, parking is available in the Hadley Park Parking lots. Volunteers will be on-site to guide you to the designated parking areas.

Course Information

Q7: What is the race route?

A: The race route starts at the Hadley Park Pavilion, goes through the park out onto Alameda Street to 32nd Ave. and down John Merritt Blvd to Jefferson St. The route navigates back up by Tennessee State University and finishes back at the Hadley Park Pavilion. A detailed map is available below.

Q8: Are there water stations along the route?

A: Yes, there will be water stations at approximately every .5 mile along the route.

Q9: Can I walk the 5K?

A: Absolutely! Walkers are welcome. Please stay to the right side of the path to allow runners to pass.

Safety and Health

Q10: What safety measures are in place?

A: We will have medical staff on-site, water stations along the route, and volunteers positioned throughout the course to assist with any needs. Please follow any health and safety guidelines provided.

Q11: Are there first aid stations?

A: Yes, first aid stations will be located at the Registration Station and at designated stations along the route . Medical personnel will be available to assist with any issues.

Q12: What if it rains on race day?

A: The race will take place rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather, we will provide updates via email and social media.

After the Race

Q13: Will there be an awards ceremony?

A: No, medals and gift bags will be provided at the end of the race. This is a friendly race to raise awareness, so tracking will not be provided.

Q14: Are there post-race refreshments?

A: Yes, there will be refreshments available for all participants at the finish line area.

Q15: How can I volunteer for the event?

Q16: What are the volunteer duties?

A: Volunteer duties include helping with registration, guiding participants along the route, managing water stations, and assisting with setup and breakdown.
